Nintendo is launching its Switch 2 console on June 5, 2025. This is going to be the biggest gaming device launch of this year. The new device is capable of handling high graphics games and at the same time sticks with its traditional features like USB mouse support that helps gamers to play old strategy games. Some rumours say Nintendo Direct, an online presentation produced by Nintendo, could happen soon before the device launch.
This event won't focus on the upcoming Nintendo console, rather, it will focus on their upcoming releases. This was predicted by a Brazilian journalist named Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe. He has many contacts within the inner circle of Nintendo, and all his breaking news has become real. He is the one who broke the Nintendo Switch 2 device release in 2025, while many other experts predicted it would be released in 2024.

Now he is predicting that the Nintendo Direct event will happen very soon, and it will be on May 26 or next week. In this event, Nintendo will showcase its next product. Many high-profile Switch 2 games like Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment release dates haven't been confirmed.
This Nintendo Direct event will also allow the company to showcase Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza. These games are expected to be released before the console's release. Starting from 2012 till 2024, Nintendo has hosted at least 2 events in the month of June. So this year, we are expecting the Nintendo Direct and the Nintendo Switch 2 release.
Nintendo Switch 2 devices are priced at $449.9,9, higher than the original Switch device. The Mario Kart Bundle will cost $499.99. It will be better to buy the console with the bundle pack, as it is in high demand. The US market is the biggest for the Nintendo consoles, and due to high demand, not all players can have their devices on day one, as it may take a few days or weeks.
