Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater release date leaked Photograph: (Konami via PSN Store)
The release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has been leaked along with the new trailer, thanks to PlayStation. For a brief duration, the PlayStation Store page for the game revealed the release date along with the new trailer. The details were not available for long, but long enough for people to grab screenshots and download the trailer.
Shared by NateDog on RestEra, on a now-updated page, the release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater was reported to be August 28. Visiting the page now will simply give the release window of 2025. The new trailer has also been removed.
While not the ideal announcement for Konami, fans are very excited about the game. The original Metal Gear Solid 3 was released back in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and the remake aims to bring back the classic with modern graphics and controls while keeping the remake faithful using Unreal Engine.
How faithful you ask? The leaked trailer also showcased Snake vs. Monkey, a mini-game that was also available in the original game. It serves as an additional side mission that doesn’t have any impact on the story but provides players with cosmetic rewards. Just from a glimpse of the minigame, fans are beginning to feel confident about the upcoming remake.

What platforms will MGS Delta be available on?

What are video game remakes?
Often games can become dated, usually due to advancing technology which sometimes leaves them unplayable on new hardware. A remake is when a studio builds a classic game from scratch on a completely new game engine while keeping all the elements and story the same. Remakes are also a great way to bring some new players while they can also serve as decent revenue maker for the company.
