Riot Games recently revealed the official anthem for 2024 League of Legends Worlds, and as fans predicted, the featured artist this year is Linkin Park with their song ‘Heavy Is The Crown’. While the company have partnered with other popular artists, this will likely be among the biggest collab fans will see in League of Legends.
Linkin Park also recently made a return after seven years following the death of their lead singer Chester Bennington. The band released 'The Emptiness Machine' with their new vocalist Emily Armstrong, drummer Colin Brittain and is currently on a tour.
“It’s been an amazing experience partnering with Riot to bring this anthem to the global League of Legends community. The song is a real highlight of this new era for us, harnessing our signature sound and infusing it with fresh energy. We’re so excited for players and fans to experience this!” said Mike Shinoda. Linkin Park is also set to perform the song during the opening ceremony of Worlds 2024 in Berlin, Germany.
Music video to coming out soon
The official announcement revealed that the premier for the anthem will take place on September 24, a day before 2024 World Championship Kick-off. However, Riot Games was already teasing the anthem beforehand. With how well the Linkin Park debut went, fans are very excited about the anthem.

“The world anthem is the music moment that Lethiague players look forward to the most each year, and it has become a highly coveted fixture in music across the world,” said Maria Egan, Global Head of Music at Riot Games.
“As the band embarks on this exciting new chapter, we’re honoured to partner with them for the 2024 anthem. The lyrics for ‘Heavy Is The Crown’ perfectly capture the narrative for this year’s Worlds, and they are a powerful companion to the themes of our music video,” he further added.
