KONAMI celebrates 700 million downloads of eFootball (Image - KONAMI)
KONAMI has announced that its flagship football title eFootball have crossed 700 million downloads. The game is a direct competitor to EA FC and have a large amount of player base. In order to celebrate this achievement, the company is running various events to hand out a lot of XP, player cards and more.
These in-game events will run across three weeks starting January 11th to February 1st. Players can get one Player of the Week (POTW) each week for the duration of the campaign by simply logging in the game. Those who log in daily can also receive 1x Worldwide Chance Deal every day.
Apart from the login rewards, players can also acquire 200,000 GP, 210 eFootball Coins, and other rewards via Tour Events, Challenge Events, and eFootball Leagues.
Other campaigns include the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 Commemorative Campaign, where players can get ten difference Chance Deals from 10 Asian teams competing in the Asian Cup Qatar 2023 as login reward. Along with this, three epic players from Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia will also be distributed as rewards.

eFootball Championship Club Event: FC Bayern München
Last year saw KONAMI make changes to its esports tournaments and introduce the eFootball Championship Club Event, which will allow players globally to compete with each other across regional level. Making their way from the regional qualifiers, players will then represent competing clubs. The format kicks off with the FC Bayern München Club Event starting January 15.
The game itself has been receiving a lot of attention thanks to their recent partnership with FIFA. Together, both organizations will be hosting two FIFAe World Cup inside eFootball featuring 18 invited countries. More details in this regard are yet to be revealed.
