Game for Peace aka PUBG Mobile introduces Wandering Earth 2 Update

PUBG Mobile which is popularly known as Game for Peace in China has now rolled out the ‘Wandering Earth 2’ update. This new update adds sci-fi-themed battlegrounds featuring new vehicles, gameplay mechanics, points on interests and much more to give players a futuristic vibe.  There are also in-game events that match the theme of the update.

The entire update is based around the Chinese movie with technological advancements of humans and AI and the trailer for the game itself showcased a Planetary Engine that allows the planet to move around in space, hence the name ‘Wandering Earth’.

There is also a Space Elevator from the movie which will let player/s go to space and get good loot from the space station. In order to go into space, however, players need to win a battle against other team in the Space Elevator similar to PUBG Mobile arena mode.

New vehicles and equipments

Players can find new Steel Mantis inside the game across various spots. It is a bulldozer-type vehicle with a mechanical arm that can be used as utility of offensive against other teams. Players can also find a ball which acts as both a vehicle and shield as no one can damage you while driving.

There are also various utility equipment that resembles advanced tech including a robot dog that can assist players during fights, a portable camera that can be set around the perimeter to spy on enemies and a mobile shield that will protect players during battle and will constantly follow them around, so players do not need to deploy it everywhere.

All of this takes place on a modified Erangle map that is completely overhauled according to the theme. Players can find sci-fi buildings all around filled with loot and new equipment. Along with that, there is also the new licensed collaboration with the Star Traveler series featuring new cosmetics.
