ENCE moved to the LCQ finals after defeating Wolves Esports, while G2 Esports took down The Forgotten Days. Both teams saw some intense rounds but managed to come out on top with a clean victory.

With how exciting the semifinals were, fans were expecting an intense matchup between the two finalists. However, the best of the three grand finals ended quickly with G2 taking down ENCE in the first two matches.

LCQ grand final overview

The first map went in the favour of G2 by a landslide, with ENCE only securing one round at the attacking side. G2 displayed dominance with a near-perfect defence, not allowing ENCE to make a move. The match ended with a 7-1 win in favour of G2.

Following a crushing defeat on the first map, ENCE started putting up a fight with a very decent first half. The second half also saw a good opening from ENCE, however, G2 managed to win three back-to-back rounds, resulting in another win with a 7-5 score.

The major is set to commence on May 16 and is a great opportunity for teams to get their hand on the winning prize, alongside a huge chunk of Six Invitational global points that will further help the teams get into the Six Invitational.

G2 will now be starting out with seven other teams from other region LCQs and regional tournaments. Out of the eight teams in Phase 1, only four will move to Phase 2 and join 12 others in a Swiss stage fighting to get into playoffs. The playoffs will feature a single elimination brackets and the best of five grand final.
