Following a huge success in the last few matches, Freecs have now managed to bag another victory at the ongoing Group Stage Day 2 for PUBG Esports World Cup. Not only did this make them the second team to secure multiple chicken dinners in the Group Stage, they are also back on top of the leaderboard.
The final three came down to All Gamers Global (AGG), Petrichor Road (PeRo) and Freecs with AGG and Freecs entering the final battle with all players alive. However, the last standing player from PeRo managed to wipe the entire AGG. With the main rivals gone, Freecs moved on to secure the game and add another win to their name.
Despite not securing another chicken dinner, AGG have also picked up pace since the third game after taking home in a huge 2v3 clutch win against TSM, with Taikonn carrying the team with 7 kills. For a team put together right before the Esports World Cup, they have been acting as a strong competitor for now. TSM on the other hand have now seen the top spot being stolen from them twice in a row.
NaVi drops out of top 5
Following an amazing opening chicken dinner, NaVi have constantly witnessed a drop in the rank. Each game went by much worse than the previous one, landing the team in sixth spot after game four. Day 1 performance for the team has also not been satisfactory and can cause issues qualifying for the finals if the team do not manage to pull their weight in the next two matches.
On the flip side, Team Falcons who dominated Day 1 have been struggling since the last four matches. The team is currently in the last spot and are yet to see double-digit score alongside EArena and Luna Galaxy.
