Following Group C, Group D now also have their first two teams in the Playoffs and unsurprisingly, one of them is our previous major champions NaVi. Along with them, Complexity is also looking fresh after defeating Pera Esports and Heroic at the ESL Pro League S19.

Complexity gave Heroic a rough time

Heroic has arguably had a better line-up than Complexity in terms of firepower, which was quite apparent in the upper bracket semifinals. The opening match saw Complexity go down fairly quickly, with only three rounds on the defending side and two on the attacking.

This was followed by a hard-fought victory for Complexity on the second map thanks to Hallzerk which equalized the score and took the game into the decider map. Complexity had an incredible first half on the attacking side. Heroic opened up great in the second half, but the score turned out to be a big to chase. Both EliGE and Hallzerk had the most impact on the final map and securing the spot in the Playoffs.

BIG faces Major champs

BIG also saw a similar run against NaVi at the semis and managed to secure a very decent win on their own map pick. However, things changed when they entered NaVi territory, where BIG was only able to finish one round in the first half. The team opened up great in pistol and the following round of the second half, but the score was too big to cover.

This brought the teams to the decider map on Overpass where BIG did try their best against their opponents but was only able to muster a few rounds.

Few spots left for the remaining

With these two teams moving forward to the Playoffs, there are now only four spots and 12 teams left over. The Group C middle bracket is set to feature ENCE and GamerLegion in the showdown for playoffs while Group D is yet to see the semis between BIG and Pera Esports along with HEROIC Vs FlyQuest.
