Following the conclusion of groups A and B, MOUZ has entered the upper bracket finals of Group C at the ESL Pro League S19. The team breezed through their quarterfinals and semis and has now secured a spot in the Playoffs.
Their matches against Bad News Kangaroo and GamerLegion went by mostly without a hitch. GamerLegion did give them a bit of a struggle after losing 13-1 in the semifinals. However, MOUZ managed to beat them in overtime.
MOUZ were also the champions of ESL Pro League S18 and are now playing to defend the title while securing their spot for IEM Cologne 2024. The team is mostly the same, apart from an addition of Brollan loaned from Ninjas in Pyjamas and Xyp9x as their assistant coach.
Team Liquid to challenge MOUZ in upper bracket finals
MOUZ will now face Team Liquid, who have also made their way to the upper brackets finals and secured a spot in the playoffs. The updated roster for the team seems to be holding its own for now.
Liquid defeated, Furia and Monte to reach the finals. Their run wasn’t clean, but the team did manage to defeat their opponents. Both teams will now be fighting for a better spot in the playoffs.
The middle bracket for group C also has some interesting matches. Bad News, Kangaroos saw a crushing defeat in the decider map against ENCE. Their opponents did not even let them score a single round, resulting in a 13-0 defeat.
The same thing happened with Furia who lost 13-0 against Forze on Overpass which was their map pick. Both losing teams are now in last chance and will go against each other on May 3. Upcoming matches today will also give us two more teams moving to the playoffs.
