The Grind for BGIS have concluded, and it seems a few more teams have now been caught taking the easy route instead of actually grinding for their post like other teams. Krafton have once again brought down the ban hammer on four teams at BGIS The Grind.

A recent Instagram post revealed the fur teams Five Filter Esports, Instinct Outliers, Megastars Gaming and Tense Esports are the ones on the receiving end. Two of these teams, Tense and Megastars, were among the top 64 teams qualifying for the main event of BGIS.

The statement from Krafton read, “An investigation confirmed that these teams engaged in activities that directly violated these rules. The specific infractions involved using unauthorized software modifications and collaborating with other players equipped with cheating devices. These actions undermine the sportsmanship, integrity, and fairness that BGIS stands for.”

As a result, the four teams have now been disqualified, with Krafton further looking of any other relevant action, including bans from future tournaments. Prior to the conclusion of week 2, CannonBoltz was found in the similar situation. The addition of these four now makes a total of five banned teams this grind season.

What happens next?

Since The Grind is already concluded, points for these teams will be distributed among their respective groups equally. With these four teams gone, new teams have received another chance at the main event. A few other teams who were qualifying for round 3 will now participate directly in round 4.

“The seedings for the upcoming matches will be revised to reflect these new point totals. This re-seeding aims to ensure that all teams have equitable conditions for competition based on the updated standings,” Krafton wrote.

The point distribution may not give justice to teams that were knocked out due to their opponents cheating, but given the situation, it remains the most viable option amidst the large scale BGMI tournament.
