Fortnite to let players turn into Godzilla

New Fortnite leaks reveal that players will be able to turn into Godzilla starting this Friday. Further reports suggest they will be also able to use various abilities.

Since the beginning of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, fans have been hyped for Godzilla's introduction. Epic Games recently released a teaser for the kaiju showcasing him rampaging across the map. However, data miners have found something quite interesting, a mythic item that will let players transform into Godzilla during the match.

As revealed by HYPEX via NotPaloleaks, the post wrote, “On January 17, groundbreaking changes are coming to the gameplay. Stay alert, because a strange rift might appear. Make sure you're the first person to cross it... or get ready for a challenging fight!”

The official trailer did reveal players jumping into the rift right before the appearance of Godzilla; however, as of now, there is no official announcement or gameplay reveal for the same by Fortnite.

Many fans are wondering how things will work in Godzilla form. The leaks also revealed that players will turn into a ‘Giant’ Godzilla, meaning they will be able to bring large-scale destruction during a match. Players will also be able to use three abilities in Godzilla form; Beam, Stomp, and Roar will be available; however, there are a few more surprises in the bag.

King Kong may also make an appearance

The rivalry between Godzilla and Kong is well known, and further info has hinted that the same can be experienced inside Fortnite. Another ability named "Throw Banana" has everyone believe that transformation into King Kong will also be an option.

King Kong was already expected to be available in the shop, and bringing him into the match won’t be a surprise. Players do need an effective counter for Godzilla during a match, especially considering the rumors that the Kaiju will be much larger compared to other players.
