PS5 and Xbox fans making fun of each other
A day after PlayStation Network (PSN) went down, Xbox suffered the same fate, although the downtime remained much shorter than their rival. Currently, all functionality has been restored as per the official website, with only the live service games undergoing maintenance being unavailable. The revelation, however, gave PS5 fans a reason to make fun.
While Xbox may have laid down its weapons in the console war, fans are not ready to give up just yet. The recent outage of PSN gave Xbox players a good laugh, with many trolling each other, sadly, they received a taste of their own medicine after the Xbox network was down.

Xbox quickly resolves the issue
A follow-up update a few hours later announced that the issue was resolved. “Players should once again be able to play eFootball 2024. Thank you for your patience, and happy gaming!,” the update said. The reason for the outage was not revealed, but Xbox fans were happy that the issue was resolved quickly.

PlayStation users on the other hand called this karma for having too much fun during the PSN downtime. Both consoles had access to offline games, especially Indie titles, which were still available to play, however, the issue is much deeper.

AAA titles nowadays require an internet connection, the same goes for live service titles. The problem isn’t specifically tied to Xbox or PlayStation, as it can happen with any online game due to any issues. Following heavy backlash due to online only, requirements, many games nowadays are allowing offline mode for story campaigns and thankfully, indie and AA industries are holding everything together.
