The final day for Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 Semifinals Week 2 concludes, and we have our final eight teams locked in for the showdown at the grand finals. The journey has been quite rough and has culminated in the best 16 teams of the Indian BGMI scene going head-to-head across three match days starting June 28.

Over the course of two and half months, we have seen multiple fan favourites say goodbye and several other new teams taking their spot. We also saw multiple disqualifications for teams using external help to gain an advantage and other rule-breaking.

The final day once again saw Carnival Gaming and Mogo Esports hold on to their spot. While Carnival Gaming secured another chicken dinner for good measure, Mogo Esports were quite confident with multiple top-three finishes. A few others like iNSANE Esports and Insidious Esports also made a huge jump on the leaderboard, pushing Rivalry and Galaxy Esports out of the equation.

It wasn’t all sunshine for every team, as fan favourites like Entity and GodLike Esports will be missing out on the prestigious event this year after finishing in the 14th and 15th spot respectively. GodLike were having difficulty stepping up their game since Day 1 while Entity took a huge gamble and lost as their no chicken dinner run was able to hold the top eight spot for so long.

These teams will now join the top eight from Semifinals Week 1 to compete at the grand finals for the 2 crore prize pool, with the winner taking home Rs 60 lakh in a single swoop. With how intense the matches were for the Semis, one can only imagine the teams giving their all for the grand finals.
