Since its first release in 2017, Fortnite, a free-to-play online multiplayer battle royale game, has been the most successful Epic Games release ever thanks to the introduction of several well-liked game modes, crossover upgrades, character skins, and entertaining events. Tim Sweeney, the CEO of Epic Games, responded to a since-deleted tweet by calling the notion that a Fortnite adaptation was being shopped around to different film studios "false," ending fan debates about the potential for the well-liked battle royale game to be shown in theatres.

Epic Games has not yet released an official statement

Fans have already started new discussions on the actual meaning of Sweeney's "false" comment, even though it appears like Sweeney has made it clear that a Fortnite movie is not coming. Some wonder if he was addressing rumours that the film existed or if he was rejecting rumours that a production company had acquired it.  Although Sweeney and Epic Games have not yet released an official statement on a Fortnite movie, fans would be better off not getting their hopes up with any presumptions regarding the "false" claim.

Even if there may not be a Fortnite movie shortly, fans' excitement has been stoked by reports and announcements of impending video game adaptations. Horror fans are anticipating the arrival of the live-action Until Dawn movie on April 25 while the newly released Minecraft movie continues to do well at the box office. Some wonder if he was addressing rumours that the film existed or if he was rejecting rumours that a production company had acquired it.
