EA Sports has now revealed its plans for the FC Pro esports ecosystem as the release of EA FC 25 draws closer. This time around, the company is looking to give the player more opportunity to qualify for the FC Pro World Championship. In order to do this, players will once again get a chance to qualify for the events through open qualifiers.

“This year, we’re prioritising expanded opportunities for players to compete at the highest level, with new pathways to the FC Pro World Championship. We’re looking forward to delivering an even more dynamic and competitive experience to showcase the best talent in EA SPORTS FC and create memorable moments on the virtual pitch,” Senior Director of Esports at EA Sports, Sam Turkbas, said.

The FC Pro Open will be making a return, featuring a prize pool of $1 million. Players will start their journey for the FC Pro Open via the FC Pro Open Ladder that will commence on October 1 and to qualify for that, players need to reach Division 3 on Rivals.

Following the open ladder, the qualifying teams will compete in the Regional and Global qualifiers, which will allow 17 players to FC Pro Open. These players will also be joined by the seven players from the previous year who have secured a direct invite.

PHzin, Vejrgang, Levi de Weerd, Emre Yilmaz, xcharif, Yuval and Jafonso will qualify directly for the FC Pro Open. Jafonso also recently secured the FC 24 Esports World Cup, while the others were strong contenders. Going against them will not be an easy task.

World Championship remains the same

Similar to the previous year, the FC Pro World Championship will once again feature the 32 best FC players from across the globe for another run as a $1 million prize pool. A small change this year is that eight players from the FC Pro Open will directly qualify for the FC Pro World Championship. The rest will make their way through FC Pro Leagues and Play-Ins.
