Clash of Clans September update brings Magic Snacks, Supercharges and much more

The latest Clash of Clans update brought a lot of new things and improved the loot rewards for everyone, let's have a look at the September update highlights.

Clash of Clans recently dropped a huge update that improved a lot of old things, while also introducing multiple new mechanics and the Treasure Hunt Event. Apart from this, there are multiple qualify of life changes that will make resource farming and upgrading much easier than before. A big highlight is the ability to loot more dark elixir from battles.

Here is an overview of all exciting updates in Clash of Clans

Treasure Hunt Event

The Treasure Hunt Event will run from September 11 to 30 and will allow players to gain even more rewards from attacks. During attacks, players can look for chests which can not only give extra loot, but also item rewards Decorations, Skins, Hero Equipment, Magic Snacks, and Magic Items.

There are four different rarities of chests available, Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary and their locations will be highlighted while attacking. These chests will be inside random buildings, however, not all highlighted locations will contain a chest. A total of 3 chests can be obtained every 48 hours.

Magic Snacks

The aforementioned Treasure Hunt can also reward players with Magic Snacks. These are currently temporary items that can boost builders, heroes, troops, equipment, and research based on what type of Snack you get. There are Builder Bite, Study Soup, Mighty Morsel, Power Pancakes, Training Treat, and Clan Castle Cake.

These things are designed to be used right away, as they will expire within 24 hours. Magic Snacks cannot be stacked or sold, so if players get one, they better use them right away. Similar to the chest, players can acquire a total of three in 48 hours before waiting for a rest.

Supercharge

Supercharge is a new mechanic used to increase the productivity of select buildings in the game. These will be available starting Town Hall 16 and will provide a stat buff along with a lightning visual cue to the building. It is just like a semi-permanent upgrade to the building.

Small buffs provide a small stat boost to the building, they cost less but also give smaller buffs and are for a short duration. In comparison, Max-level buildings can get a significant buff. Each building can be supercharged three times and will resources and builder. Currently, players can supercharge X-Bows, Inferno Towers, Builder's Huts, Hidden Teslas, Mortars, Gold Mines, Elixir Collectors, and Dark Elixir Drills.

New Clan Notice Board

Clans now have a Notice Board which can hold custom messages from the clan leader and co-leaders. This can be very helpful for people looking to join clans as it will allow them to search clans per their criteria, including clan activity and other aspects. The option to search clans by name or clan tag remains. Do note that the notice will disappear with any change to language settings.

Hard Mode changes

The hard mode also saw some changes as per player feedback. Common Hero equipment levels will now be capped at 15 while Epic Hero Equipment will be capped at level 21. There are also some changes to the HP and damage. The attacking hero damage penalty has been increased from -15% to -5% while hp goes up from -10% to -5%.
