The latest Fortnite leaks suggest that Epic Games is gearing up for an exciting Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration in the upcoming Chapter 5 Season 3. Alongside the development of a map for Fortnite Rocket Racing, additional content is in the works, although specifics remain scarce.

However, insights into the loot pool are gradually emerging. Renowned data-miner HYPEX has revealed that three weapons/items are likely return in Chapter 5 Season 3, all aligned with the Pirates of the Caribbean theme.

These include the Treasure Map (Buried Treasure), Pirate Cannon, and Flint-Knock Pistol, all of which haven't been seen in-game for some time. Their reintroduction promises to inject freshness into the loot pool, with the potential for new variants given Epic Games' penchant for innovation.

When will Fortnite release the update?

The Pirate Cannon's mobility and firepower could offer strategic advantages in countering the prevalent vehicle-centric meta of the current season. Meanwhile, the Flint-Knock Pistol's utility in creating distance between players and dislodging opponents from high ground adds tactical depth to gameplay

However, the effectiveness of the Treasure Map (Buried Treasure) hinges on its spawn mechanics, as past instances of chests spawning under rocks rendered the item impractical. While anticipation builds for the Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration, a definitive timeline is yet to be established. Speculation points to a potential launch in July, although Epic Games retains the discretion to alter plans.

Given the recent inclusion of three major collaborations in the Wrecked Battle Pass, a June release seems unlikely. However, as mid-June approaches, more details regarding the collaboration may surface, offering players a glimpse into what promises to be an exciting addition to the Fortnite universe.
