Carnival Gaming accused of payment fraud - Photograph: (CG)
An ex-employee from Carnival Gaming, one of the most popular name in BGMI esports scene, have now accused the owner of payment fraud. This came after the organisation officially shut down its operations early in November, with the employee claiming up to three months of salary was pending for many people who were a part of the organization.
“It's outrageous and unacceptable that after shutting down operations, you've failed to pay us three months worth of salaries we've rightfully earned through our hard work and dedication to this organization,” the statement read.
Carnival Gaming featured some of the most popular names in the BGMI community, including Goblin, Hector, Spower and others. Despite not being able to be in one of the top orgs, 2024 had been a decent year for the organisation. However, their sudden disband was quite unexpected, especially after they signed Spower, a month back.

Legal action against Carnival gaming?
It was also claimed that the owner of the organization owner, Omkar Chandgude, was having a time of his life and sharing it across social media, the employees were given excuses for delay in payments. The statement further asked for a quick resolvent of the issue, or legal actions might be taken against Carnival Gaming.
“We've had enough of your delays and justifications. This is our final warning: clear the pending salaries immediately. Failure to resolve this matter will leave us no choice but to escalate it legally and even more publicly. Stop hiding behind excuses and start acting responsibly,” the statement further added.

As of now, a response from Chandgude regarding the matter is due. At the moment, it is not confirmed if these allegations are true, however, threat of a legal action tells it might be true. Sadly, this isn’t the first case of this kind.
Many players from small orgs have also raised similar concerns regarding their esports orgs regarding payment issues. However, something like this from a reputed esports organization was something not many expected.
