The latest earnings call from Microsoft has now revealed that Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is now their biggest COD release as has set a record for Game Pass subscriber addition. While there is no specific numbers, this comes directly from the CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella who also revealed the sales number on PlayStation and Steam were also up.

“Last week’s launch of Black Ops 6 was the biggest Call of Duty release ever, setting a record for day one players, as well as Game Pass subscriber adds on launch day. Unit sales on PlayStation and Steam were also up over 60% year over year,” Nadella said.

This comes as a huge payoff for acquiring Activision Blizzard for $69 billion. Furthermore, the game itself has seemed to take a step in the right direction, bringing back a very good campaign and the return of round based zombies. While there are complaints regarding multiplier, it has been going on for a long time.

Another interesting thing to note is that the sales number were also much higher despite the game being available on Gaming Pass. Many believed that the numbers might be lower as many would opt for Game Pass, but it seems people do have subscription services or maybe are planning to play COD Black Ops 6 long term.
