BMPS 2024 Grand Finals Day 1 overview: GodLike Esports on top

The opening day for Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 grand final saw GodLike Esports in a completely different light. From two chicken dinners to the first 1v4 clutch of the tournament, GodLike bagged some of the most prestigious moments in the game while also securing the top spot in the overall leaderboard.

Starting the grand final with a 20-point chicken dinner, GodLike was quiet for the next few matches, which gave other teams a chance to gain back the lead. Orangutan and Inferno Squad took the opportunity to help themselves up on the leaderboard in the next two matches with 18 points each.

Following a short break, GodLike once again came a storm, claiming Match 4 with the help of Simp, who secured the first 1v4 clutch of the BMPS grand final, adding another 18 points. Match five was secured by Hyderabad Hydras, also with an 18-point chicken dinner.

The final match for Day 1 was secured by Numen Gaming and thankfully, the team broke the 18-point curse by securing a 20-point chicken dinner. This helped them land the second spot on the leaderboard after the conclusion of the first day of the BMPS grand final.

Two teams who had a lot of eyes on them, Team XSpark and 8Bit, could not manage to take on the competition. There was an attempt from Team XSpark, but the team only managed to finish in the top four. 8Bit on the other hand suffered back-to-back losses.
