Best characters to team up with Spider-Man in Marvel Rivals

Spider-Man is one of the most popular Marvel characters. Likewise, he is also popular in video games, with Marvel’s Spider-Man being one of the most popular games. Now your friendly neighbourhood spider has landed on Marvel Rivals and fans are loving his fast gameplay style that can leave opponents confused.

Acting as one of the Duelist, Spider-Man can dish out some impressive damage to opponents. Paired with his fast movement, it can be quite hard to keep up if you get his in the opponent team. What’s interesting about Marvel Rivals is that players can perform a Team-Up Ability with other heroes to get an advantage and new abilities.

Venom

One of the two characters that can perform a team up ability with Spider-Man, Venom acts as a Vanguard whose role is crowd control and tank. Teaming up with Venom can give players his crowd control ability to knock opponents back to get out of a bad situation. Furthermore, having a tank take hits for a duelist is the general idea of pairing the heroes together.

Hulk

Same idea as before, Hulk is another great team up character and while there is no Team-Up Ability, having Hulk tank hits and Spider-Man clean up the field with his support is a great strategy. His abilities allow him to immobilized enemies, which can be used to deal high damage real quick.

Squirrel Girl

Moving onto double Duelist strategy, Squirrel Girl is the other character players can perform a Team-Up Ability with. When Spider-Man uses the Extra Web-Fluid ability, Squirrel Girl will get a web bomb that can web up enemies on explosion, allowing both heroes to get an upper hand by giving them a bigger window to deal damage.

Mantis

The most common way to be a nuisance to enemies with Spider-Man is to have backup in the form of a healer or Strategist in case of Marvel Rivals. For this role, Mantis is one of the best hero to team up with. While her abilities can heal, they can also grant a damage buff, which can be very helpful for a duelist.

Rocket Raccoon

If damage isn’t what is required but potent healing, Rocket Raccoon pairs up well with Spider-Man as he can allow an area of healing that is useful to consider Spider-Man’s mobility. Furthermore, he can also revive a fallen teammate in Battle Rebirth Beacon ability that can also give armour for damage reduction.
