After the initial reveal on Final Fantasy 14 mobile, fans have now got a glimpse of the battle system inside the game. Many were wondering how Tencent managed to work out the battle, as MMOs usually have complex systems with different characters having different abilities. Surprisingly, it was quite well though out with minimal UI clutter.

A recent post on X (Twitter) showcases different classes and battle system for Final Fantasy 14 mobile, with the ability buttons tucked on the right side of the screen. While the particular area does look a bit of clutter, however, this allows the remaining space to be clean during battle.

Some fans, however, have raised concerns regarding higher level rotations, wondering how will things work out when players need to use more abilities. Furthermore, the combat system itself was questioned as each fight was done from a single spot, leading to fans to speculate there will be no moving around too.

It is currently unknown if there will be more changes to the current UI of players will get a simplified version of the combat, which is understandable considering how massive the game is and porting it to mobile device may need some sacrifice in the process.

Final Fantasy 14 mobile can feature different mechanics

The original trailer showcased familiar stories and will also include the original campaign, it did have slight differences. Naoki Yoshida previously stated that adapting core gameplay PC to a mobile game would be a difficult task. This may result in a different combat system, which fans were pointing out.

Although, Yoshida did promise that the mobile version will not be much different from the original version. The game will also be free to play, but no news on how it will be monetized is available. Despite that, the game looks solid for now and the final verdict from fans will only be held after its release.
