No man left behind in credits (Photograph: X)
Ubisoft is a big company with studios across various countries and it seems a lot of effort was put into Assassin’s Creed Shadows by these studios. Enough to get over 2 hours of credits sequence after completing the game which has left many people amazed following its successful release to over a million players on launch.
As one would expect, people were quite surprised to see credits rolling for more than two hours as most don’t even sit for five minutes after completing the game. The runtime does seem a little over the top but it’s a good thing that the company recognized the hard work of all the people that helped make the game.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows controversy dies with positive reviews
Ahead of its release, Assassin’s Creed Shadows saw some huge controversies but the reception on release reveals most of them were hollow. That’s not to say the game is perfect, but it’s what gamers expected of an Assassin’s Creed title and Ubisoft delivered.
With the weekend in sight, the game has also started breaking its launch player count on Steam of 41,000 players and crossed 47,000 concurrent players, a number which will likely go up in the next 24 hours. As for the review, they are still holding over 80% positive reviews. However, the 1 million player count shared by Ubisoft most likely covers all platforms including its subscription.

Same old Ubisoft formula
The game didn’t exactly bring something groundbreaking or new ideas and simply expanded gameplay from previous titles, but that was likely done to avoid risks, which Ubisoft clearly can’t take in its current financial situation and community hostility. Despite its shortcomings, the company managed to deliver a decent game with way fewer bugs compared to Star Wars Outlaws.
Ubisoft also hired lawyers and provided the employees protection from harassment post-launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. However, it does not seem like there will be much need for that.
