While not a GTA-level fan following, Alien: Isolation is considered one of the best survival horror games, despite being released back in 2014. The initial reception for the game was either people loving it or completely hating on it, something similar to a Souls game, thanks to the enemy AI. However, it amassed a lot of fans over the years.

Another masterpiece in the making?

The original game was set 15 years after the events of the original Alien movie by Ridley Scott, featuring the daughter of Ellen Ripley, Amanda, who boards a space station to look for clues only to find out she is stuck with the Xenomorph.

It is hard to believe that Alien: Isolation 2 will be a reality, and even harder to imagine what will come next. The original game was exhausting and one of few games that gave the player a feeling of being hunted. Players did not have any means to fight and were left to either fend off the Xenomorph for a while or hide.

However, using the same tricks to survive again and again would lead to eventual death, as the enemy used dual AI that allowed the Xenomorph to search regular hiding spots and use various other tricks to corner the player.
