All 16 teams competing in the BMPS 2024 grand finals are locked in, including GodLike Esports and Team 8Bit. Both teams made one last push on the final day of the semifinals to secure a qualifying spot for the finals, along with their first chicken dinner of the semifinal in the process. However, both teams will now have to give their best for the championship.
The grand final is set to begin on September 27 with teams competing across three days playing a total of 18 matches. Featuring a prize pool of Rs 2 crore, BMPS will be the third major BGMI tournament, following BGIS 2024 and BGMS Season 3.
Numen Esports and TWOB saw a dominating run in the semifinals and secured the top spots with only a single chicken dinner in the bag. On the other hand, Pheonix Esports saw a four-chicken dinner to their name in an absolutely insane run.
The BMPS 2024 itself is going to very interesting. A majority of the competing teams include underdogs and other popular names who are yet to score a big win. A lot of veteran teams saw early elimination, leaving just a few to carry the torch forward. Will they be able to keep the streak alive or face defeat by the underdogs who have been dominating the event since the beginning?
Another question many have been asking is that following the departure of some of the most popular teams, what will happen to the viewership? The grand finals will be taking place as a LAN event in Kochi, meaning fans will be able to see all teams in action. The live broadcast can also expect a good viewership, as GodLike and Team XSpark boast a large fan base.
