Bollywood’s desi girl Priyanka Chopra has been phenomenal with her acting skills. Her amazing performances helped her to establish herself as one of the biggest superstars of both Bollywood and Hollywood. However, it was not an easy journey for her especially making a place in Hollywood. Her initial days were full of struggles and she sailed through it to make her name.
In a recent interview, PC spoke about it and said that those were the most difficult days. She said that she had no benefits of being a former Miss World or an established name in Bollywood. “It was the industry that I didn’t know, the people, I didn’t know, I didn’t have friends who would call at 2 in the morning”, says Priyanka Chopra.
“That’s very important. I was very lonely, and it was terrifying. I was in New York City, which, anyway, is a daunting city. It was a dark period of my life. It was like starting all over again. I started right from the beginning.”
“I had featured on the cover of a certain magazine six times in my country, but in the US, they wouldn’t even take a meeting with me. That took a lot…but I didn’t bring my pride of ‘I am a leading lady and blah blah…’ That’s what helped me find the position I am today.”
