For the upcoming 2-match Test series against Bangladesh, BCCI have announced the team but will have to make some bold calls in terms of picking up players in the main team. Some brilliant players are looking to make their comeback but the plan might be halted since senior players are returning as well. India's former batter Kris Srikkanth revealed that in order to fit in KL Rahul, management will have to set aside Sarfaraz Khan which is a sad thing.

"Honestly, I feel bad for Sarfaraz Khan. But, this happens, at times, in Test cricket. You would have been playing well but when a big player returns, you will have to lose your place. Take for instance, Rishabh Pant is returning because of which Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan are losing their places. KL Rahul is coming in," said Kris Srikkanth.

KL Rahul has a pretty good record for India in overseas countries, and he is keeping the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy. BCCI would like to keep Rahul on the team so he can have match practice. Moreover, Dhruv Jurel will also have to make way for Rishabh Pant who might make his comeback in the Indian team after 20 months.

Rohit Sharma to lead India in Test series against Bangladesh

Rohit Sharma, India's red-ball captain is set to lead the Indian team in the upcoming Bangladesh series. He will have the support of players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and many more as the senior players are returning to action in whites. Moreover, Yash Dayal has got his maiden call-up from the BCCI but it will be interesting to see if he'll get a chance in the playing XI.

India's squad for the 1st Test of the Bangladesh Test series: Rohit Sharma (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (WK), Dhruv Jurel (WK), R Ashwin, R Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah, Yash Dayal.
