Sanjay Manjrekar warns Virat Kohli ahead of massive series
Former Indian batter Sanjay Manjrekar during his chat with Star Sports has warned Virat Kohli. The former batter turned commentator said “Virat knows exactly what's going to be planned. They'll start with that line outside the off-stump and gauge what his mood is. These days he looks to leave balls outside the off-stump and if they have anything that is pitched right up, he will look to drive”
Manjrekar also said “Nowadays, they are also trying to cramp him for room and attack his body because he loves to get forward so much. So that is something New Zealand tried, which is very smart. And then if he is so focused outside off, that typical one of landing a ball on the middle stump which Josh Hazlewood will try”
Australian pace bowler Mitchell Starc during chat with Australian cricket spoke highly about Virat Kohli. Both stars have enjoyed massive rivalry on the field but were also teammates in the IPL for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Starc said “I got to play alongside Virat for a couple of years in the IPL, so I got to know him off the field a bit and I have always enjoyed the battles together. But I don't think it's like him or I have cracks back or forth. It's more about the cricket and enjoying the contest. So he's not someone I have riled up or tried to rile up. You just have to try and let the cricket do the talking,"
