WPL 2025: BCCI releases official schedule, tournament to be played in four legs

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) finally released the official schedule for the upcoming Women’s Premier League 2025 (WPL 2025). The tournament will kick off with the game between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) holders and Gujarat Giants (GG) on February 14, 2025.

The tournament will be played in four legs from February 14 to March 15 in four major cities of India, including Vadodara, Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Mumbai. The fourth last leg will be played in Mumbai, including a knockout. Notably, it will be the first time in the history of WPL that Lucknow will host a game in the tournament.

Speaking of the scenario for the qualification to the tournament's final, the table toppers in the league stage will seal the direct place in the summit clash. At the same time, the number 2 and number three teams will take on each other in the eliminator to become the second finalists of the tournament.
