After a poor performance by the Indian bowlers in the Sri Lanka series, Men in Blue lost the series 2-0. It was utterly unexpected that the Island nation would defeat the Indian team. The fans and cricket experts are discussing the defeat and its reason. Decoding the reason, Pakistan's former pacer Junaid Khan concluded that India is nothing without Jasprit Bumrah.

“Would you agree? Without Bumrah, India’s bowling is zero…,” he wrote on X.

Moreover, the former player's claims might be valid, as India's bowling was extremely poor in the ODI series. After winning the T20I series, losing the ODI series is unbelievable. Undoubtedly, the pitch favoured the spinners more than the pacers, so India played with only one pacer. But the spinners couldn't do much as the Sri Lankan batters scored 248 runs in the first innings.

But the Indian batters couldn't keep up their performance and collapsed. India not only lost the game by 110 runs but also lost the series. Sri Lanka won a series against India after 27 years and created history. This is indeed an iconic and unforgettable moment for the team.

There are a lot of areas we need to look at: Rohit Sharma

After an embarrassing loss in the ODI series, skipper Rohit Sharma was completely honest with where India lacked and how they'll tackle the situation in the upcoming series. He wasn't happy with the loss and how the team played throughout the series. However, it was an unfortunate turn of events for the Indian team after the T20I series, and now they'll have to look forward to winning in the upcoming series.

"We looked at the conditions and went with the combinations, there are also guys who need to be looked at and hence the changes. There are a lot of areas we need to look at rather than the positives from this series because we need to be better prepared when we come across such conditions next time," said Rohit Sharma at the presentation.
