In their pivotal IPL 2025 encounter, Punjab Kings defeated the Lucknow Super Giants by 37 runs to take second place in the standings on Sunday. PBKS made things more difficult for LSG as the playoffs inch close with yet another outstanding all-around effort, this time at the scenic Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.
When top-order batsmen Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, and Nicholas Pooran were dismissed by Arshdeep Singh while LSG were chasing 237, their dreams of making a comeback were swiftly crushed. Despite Ayush Badoni's best efforts with his 74 off 40 and Abdul Samad's quick 45 off 24, LSG failed to get back in the game. However poor form of Rishabh Pant continues in the IPL 2025 as LSG is almost out of the playoffs race.
