The Women’s Asia Cup 2024 tournament is in its final stages with the final four teams in the tournament decided. India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan have made it to the final four. For the Women in Blue, it is a great chance to make it their 8th Asia Cup title as they have seemed untroubled so far.

Harmanpreet Kaur and her team have all their three matches so far. Their first win of the tournament came against Pakistan by 7 wickets as the Indian side didn’t let their arch-rivals get going with the bat.

The next win for India came versus United Arab Emirates as they won by a massive margin of 78 runs. Their third and final game in the group phase stages came versus Nepal where the Indian eves didn’t break a sweat to win by 82 runs.

India’s opponents in Asia Cup Semi-Finals set

Harmanpreet Kaur’s team will take on Bangladesh in the first semi-finals of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 tournament. The match is to be played on Friday the 26th of July 2024 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium in Dambulla at 2 PM Indian Standard Time.

India’s opponents Bangladesh started the campaign with a loss to Sri Lanka by 7 wickets. This was followed by a win over Thailand by 7 wickets to register their first points of the campaign.

Bangladesh then ran roughshod as they beat Malaysia by a massive margin of 114 runs. This helped the Bangladeshi side get into the Semi-Finals and set up a meeting with India. Interestingly, Bangladesh are the only side apart from India to have won the Women’s Asia Cup title.

Where to watch the match?

The first semi-finals between India and Bangladesh are set to be carried live on TV as well as Web and OTT platforms. For the TV viewers you can watch the match live on Star Sports network in your HD and SD channels. Disney Hotstar will bring the coverage for the India versus Bangladesh game live on the Website and OTT platforms.

The second semi-finals will be played the same day starting at 7 PM between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. There is a good chance we could witness yet another India versus Pakistan clash if both arch-rivals win their respective semi-final matches.
