Punjab Kings’ star spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, once again proved his amazing spin bowling abilities by claiming his second career hat-trick in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The iconic moment took place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where Chahal turned the course of the game with a magical spell that put a break on CSK’s innings.

Chahal's hat-trick came in the 19th over of the first innings, when he dismissed Deepak Hooda, Anshul Kamboj and Noor Ahmad in three consecutive deliveries. Hooda was caught at the backward point, Kamboj was cleaned up, and Noor was caught while trying to send the ball out of the park. Chahal’s magnificent spell silenced the crowd at Chepauk.
With this feat, Chahal joined an elite list of bowlers with multiple IPL hat-tricks, proving his worth in the T20 format. His final figures of 4 for 32 played a pivotal role in Punjab Kings restricting CSK to 190 when it looked like the Men in Yellow could achieve a bigger total.
This was Chahal’s second hat-trick in IPL history, the first coming in 2022 while playing for Rajasthan Royals against Kolkata Knight Riders. Known for his clever variations and control under pressure, the Indian spinner has once again shown why he remains a key asset in the shortest format of the game.
With this performance, Chahal has now increased the gap between himself, who is at the top, and the number two on the all-time wicket-takers list in the IPL, further cementing his legacy as one of the league’s finest spin bowlers.
