The Indian Cricket Team met with the honorary Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi before the victory parade in Mumbai. PM Modi hosted breakfast for the team that won the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados. They were stranded in the West Indies due to Hurricane Beryl, but BCCI Secretary Jay Shah sent a special flight to get the players back to India.

As per reports, during the meeting, PM Modi asked skipper Rohit Sharma about his gesture after winning the trophy. In that emotional moment, Rohit Sharma tasted the Barbados pitch's mud out of happiness and excitement. Hence, PM asked him, 'How does mud taste like?' The genuine interaction between the Prime Minister and the players was heartwarming.

The pictures reminded every cricket fan of how the time changed from when India lost the finals against Australia and PM Modi came in to talk to the players in the dressing room and have breakfast with them after winning the cup. Both events happened in seven months, and after this victory, the fans have finally forgotten the ODI World Cup loss against Australia.

Mumbai passed the vibe check of the victory parade on July 4

The BCCI arranged a victory parade for the Indian team to win the World Cup from Marine Drive to the Wankhade Stadium. The pictures and the videos went viral on social media, where almost all the Mumbai residents attended the parade and saw the WC trophy, including the players.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime moment for the people, and they made sure they made the journey special for the players. Moreover, the stadium was jam-packed with fans who came to watch the little presentation held for the players. When Virat Kohli came to speak, the cheering was so loud that he failed to speak for several minutes. This was the kind of welcome the team deserved, and Mumbai successfully passed the vibe check.
