India and New Zealand are all ready to battle it out in the upcoming three-match Test series. The first game of the series will be played in Bengaluru starting on Wednesday. Although the weather forecast isn’t great, fans will hope for some action to take place across the five days.

New Zealand’s new Test skipper Tom Latham has said that he wants his team to play positive cricket. Latham before the series started said “It's an exciting challenge going over to India and once we can go over there hopefully we can play with a bit of freedom, a bit of no fear and try and take it to them. If we do that hopefully gives ourselves a good chance."

Gautam Gambhir while addressing the media on Monday said "Why do we need to hold on to people? If they can play the natural game, if they can get 400-500 runs in a day, why not? We will play it that way high risk, high reward, high risk, high failure. "Why do we need to hold on to people? If they can play the natural game, if they can get 400-500 runs in a day, why not? We will play it that way -- high risk, high reward, high risk, high failure."
