Known as one of the best fielders, former India captain Virat Kohli was seen practicing at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, ahead of India vs New Zealand clash. During the fielding practice session, he was training alongside KL Rahul. Both players were involved in the session, during which Kohli grabbed a solid diving catch to his right. He bent down on his knees and took the catch which caught the attention of the crowd present there.

The video went viral on social media as the viewers loved Kohli's dedication even during practice sessions. The Bengaluru crowd loves him, and seeing him to such heroics fills their hearts with pride. After playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)  in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for 17 years, Bengaluru has become Kohli's home ground, where he loves to perform.

However, the rain might play a spoilsport in the upcoming 1st Test match as the weather report suggests the chances of rain during the game. Moreover, the first day is likely to be called off due to the interruption of the rain.

Injury scare for New Zealand continues as young pacer ruled out of the series

New Zealand have faced a huge blow as fast bowler Ben Sears has been ruled out of the entire series due to discomfort in his knee. Jacob Duffy is announced as his replacement for the series, who hasn't played a single game for New Zealand.

This is concerning for the Kiwis as they are already playing the first game in the absence of Kane Williamson, who is out due to an injury. As per reports, Tim Southee might also miss out on the first game as well.  After Southee resigned from the captaincy position, Tom Latham was appointed as the captain.

New Zealand Cricket Board's statement read, “Sears experienced pain in his left knee while training during the recent Test series in Sri Lanka and underwent scans in New Zealand last week. Following the medical advice, the decision was made to rule him out of the series."
