India’s young batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal was run-out for 82 just before stumps on day two of the MCG Test. Jaiswal, who turns 23 years old on Saturday, on the third day of the game, was looking well set for a century. The incident happened on the final ball of the 41st over with Scott Boland bowling.

the mid-onJaiswal drove the ball towards mid-on region and set off for a single. Virat Kohli, who was at the bowler’s end, was looking at the ball and didn’t respond to the call. By the time Kohli was able to turn his gaze around, Jaiswal was already in hand-shaking distance. Pat Cummins picked up the ball and lobbed the ball towards Alex Carey.

Both Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal were batting well and added 102 runs for the third wicket. That stand came in 26 overs, with the Australian bowlers looking more clueless as both batters settled into a fine rhythm. Jaiswal was batting well and got to his fifty and was looking to score his 2nd ton of the tour.

Australia batted well to post 474 runs on the board before being bowled out just after the lunch interval. Jasprit Bumrah yet again was the lead bowler with figures of 4/99, while Steve Smith was the best batter for the hosts with his knock of 140. Skipper Pat Cummins scored 49 before getting dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma continued his bad run with the bat as he was out for 3 runs. Cummins bowled a short ball that Rohit tried to pull, with Scott Boland taking an easy catch. KL Rahul came out to bat at number 3 and played a few good shots and added 43 runs for the 2nd wicket.

KL Rahul was out in the last ball before Tea to Pat Cummins, who breached the defences of the Indian batter. Rahul was out after scoring 24 runs from 36 balls with 3 hits to the fence. Virat Kohli became the 4th batter to fall when he edged behind to Alex Carey off Scott Boland for 36 runs.
