The SA20 2025 tournament has started off well with solid, thrilling games in South Africa. In just two games, the crowd has gone crazy with the show put up by the players. The second game of the season was a nail-biting last-ball game where the Durban Super Giants won by just two runs despite a brilliant batting performance by the Pretoria Capitals.
Capitals' openers Will Jacks and Rahmanullah Gurbaz wreaked havoc on the Super Giants, but the middle order's failure ultimately led to their defeat. Jacks scored 64 runs off 35 balls, hitting three boundaries and five huge sixes. Out of those sixes, one stood out- was the stunning shot over the cow corner. In the second ball of the third over, Pretorious bowled a short delivery, outside off, perfectly into Jacks' slot. With confidence, Jack unleashed a powerful shot, sending the ball soaring into the stands.

Gurbaz scored a staggering 89 runs off 43 balls, including three boundaries and seven sixes. Their efforts went in vain by not getting the much-needed support from the middle order batters. Noor Ahmed's mindblowing bowling was the reason behind the Super Giants getting those valuable four points after the victory.
Hopefully we can come back stronger: Rahmanullah Gurbaz
Capitals' opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz was given the POTM for his outstanding performance against the Durban Super Giants despite losing the game. He batted beautifully throughout the game, making a strong partnership with Will Jacks. He wasn't happy with the team's performance and hoped to bounce back stronger.
"I was happy with my performance but disappointed with the result, hopefully we can come back stronger. (On his partnership with Jacks) Our partnership was really good but a win provides satisfaction. I try to play well against him (Noor Ahmad) because he is one of the best bowlers. Unfortunately, he got me out today and hopefully, I can hit him for sixes in the next game," said Gurbaz at the post-match presentation.
