After his strange ‘notebook celebrations’ throughout the entire IPL 2025, star LSG spinner attracted the eyeballs for his unexpected ‘mankad’ attempt to dismiss RCB skipper Jitesh Sharma. The moment came in the second innings when Digvesh was set to bowl the sixth and last ball of the 17th over.

Just before delivering the ball, Rathi noticed Jitesh Sharma out of the crease at the non-striker’s end and made no delay in taking off the bails. Subsequently, he appealed for a run-out, and the decision went to the TV umpire, where he found that Rathi had already completed the action and passed the popping crease. Eventually, Jitesh was declared not out by the TV umpire.

Meanwhile, what caught the attention was the frustration of the former RCB skipper and batting stalwart, Virat Kohli, who was seen displaying his anger and frustration in the dressing room after Rathi’s ‘mankad’ attempt. However, Rishabh Pant also extended a heartfelt gesture towards Jitesh Sharma, as he was also dissatisfied with the appeal from his teammate.
