Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is dominating the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) as they are table toppers. In their most recent game, RCB defeated Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi to get two points. Following the game, a day later, RCB posted a video of their coach, Andy Flower, praising players as the team won the game.
At some point of time in that video, he praised the bowlers for holding DC to just 162/8. Coach Flower then asked batsman-wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma for his opinion on the batting. Debutant Jacob Bethell hit a six off Mitchell Starc during his quick but spectacular knock, which Jitesh complimented. The whole RCB dressing room erupted in laughter after Jitesh's comment against RCB’s captain Rajat Patidar.
Before being run out early due to a mix-up with Kohli, Patidar managed just 6 runs from 6 balls, leaving RCB struggling at 26/3. "Rajat, nothing," Jitesh said, causing his teammates to smile. Afterwards, Patidar made fun of his teammate for not appreciating his work. He said, "Nothing bol raha hai." Jitesh responded quickly, saying, "Batting mein kya ukhada isne? Patidar responded with a simple statement, "Chal theek hai, match jeet gaye na!"

Earlier, Delhi Capitals set a 163-run target for RCB, which was chased down easily. Virat Kohli scored 51 runs, and Krunal Pandya scored 76 runs and remained not out throughout the run chase. Delhi bowlers were not able to break the partnership of 119 runs between Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli. This partnership helped RCB to win the game in 18.3 overs and by six wickets.
RCB one step closer to playoffs
With 14 points in the bag, RCB appears to be well-positioned to make it to the IPL 2025 playoffs. The majority of their wins have come away from home, as they have won five of their six games away from home. With two more away games and three home games remaining, they have a solid chance of earning a playoff berth and, if they maintain their strong play at Chinnaswamy Stadium, maybe finishing in the top two.
