Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are going to take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday night. Ahead of the game, all the focus is on MS Dhoni, who might be potentially playing his final game at this venue. Many CSK fans have a huge reason to worry after Punjab Kings’ cricketer Shashank Singh’s post, which has now gone viral.
Shashank posted a picture of himself with CSK skipper MS Dhoni. Many fans saw Dhoni’s knee being bandaged, which has now sparked concerns over the fitness of the former Indian skipper. Many Chennai fans will be hoping that their ‘Thala’ is fit and gets to play the game against RCB and lead his side to a morale-boosting win.
Punjab Kings had beaten Chennai on Wednesday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium to knock the five-time IPL champions out of the tournament. MS Dhoni’s comments during the toss against PBKS had raised fresh doubts over his IPL future. Chennai are currently bottom of the points table with four points from 10 games.
Michael Hussey stresses ‘no panic’ in CSK camp after early exit
Former Australian and CSK batter Michael Hussey, who is now the batting coach of the side, spoke to the media ahead of the game against RCB. When asked about an early exit from IPL 2025, Hussey said that CSK weren’t panicking and said that the team was already looking ahead to the next season.
Hussey said, “We’re certainly not going to panic and throw everything out just because it hasn’t gone well this year. But we definitely need to tidy up in a few areas. There’ve been lots of conversations... it’s given us a really clear view on what we need to look at for next season."
The former Aussie star was also asked about CSK’s woeful form at home this season, to which he said, “It’s surprising, isn’t it, to lose so many games at home? Teams are getting better at playing at Chepauk as well. The dew played a bit of a factor too, making it easier to bat second. But I think it comes down to the way we’ve played in general: too many mistakes with bat, ball, and in the field.”
