Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli may not be in the best of forms with the bat but he has been keeping the fans entertained with his antics on the field. During the first day of the Mumbai Test against New Zealand, the veteran Indian star was seen in his element.

On Friday, Kohli could be seen chatting with Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal. The trio were seen immersed in a deep chat as Kohli then decided to imitate the way Yashasvi Jaiswal walks. This is not the first time Kohli has imitated a player. His imitations of Jasprit Bumrah and Harbhajan Singh are legendary and memorable.

The 35-year-old saw his barren patch with the bat continue on Friday. Matt Henry’s accurate throw saw India’s leading batter get run out for just four runs. There was a huge hush in the ground as soon as the veteran made his way back to the hut.

Ravi Shastri and Anil Kumble slam Virat Kohli over the run-out

Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri is known to have a close bond with the former skipper. After the wicket of Kohli, the veteran commentator could be seen getting livid. Shastri said, “What a waste of a wicket. Don’t know what was going through his mind”. India had just lost Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Siraj in successive balls a few overs earlier.

Anil Kumble during his chat with JIO Cinema said, “You can't have this repeatedly happening in every game, so it's more than a concern at the moment. You had an opportunity to get inside with just one wicket down of Rohit Sharma. And then yes, Jaiswal gets out and the night watchman comes in and gets out first ball, then this.”

India’s legendary star also added “Nobody expected the run-out. This was certainly not something that you expect of Virat Kohli getting run out in the last over or last few minutes of a day's play. And it was something that he just hit the shot and then went straight for a run, which is suicidal”

With the tour of Australia around the corner, questions are being asked about Kohli’s form. The 35-year-old has scored just one fifty in this calendar year. Mitchell Santner dismissed the former Indian skipper twice in Pune with one dismissal off a full toss.
