Star India wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul enjoyed a brilliant day behind the wickets while keeping in the first innings of the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 game against Bangladesh. But things didn’t go up to the expectations of himself and the Indian cricket fans and the Indian cricket team.
The moment came when KL Rahul missed an easy stumping chance to dismiss Towhid Hridoy on the third ball of the 23rd over when Ravindra Jadeja was bowling. It was the time when Bangladesh had lost 5 wickets at the score of 85 runs and the eventual centurion Hridoy was only at the score of 26 runs.
KL Rahul’s missed chance also left the former India skipper and batting stalwart Virat Kohli frustrated. Kohli was seen using some cuss words to express his frustration on KL Rahul’s missed chance.
The video of Virat Kohli losing his cool after KL Rahul’s missed stumping chance is also going viral on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).

Speaking of the current action of the game between Bangladesh and India, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and decided to bat first. The Men in Blue had bundled Bangladesh at the score of 228 runs in 48.4 overs courtesy of Mohammed Shami’s record-breaking five-wicket haul [5 wickets at 53 runs in 10 overs]. Harshit Rana and Axar Patel also claimed three and two wickets, respectively.
Towhid Hridyo and Jaker Ali played the innings of their life as the former smashed an amazing century to rescue Bangladesh from a miserable position. Hridoy scored 100 runs, with six fours and two sixes, alongside Jaker Ali’s 68 runs, with 4 fours.
While chasing the target, India had scored 144 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 29.5 overs at the time filling this. Star opener Shubman Gill and all-rounder Axar Patel are there in the middle at individual scores of 56 and 8 runs, respectively.
Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, and Rishad Hossain have scalped a wicket each for Bangladesh in the second innings.
