In what seems to be a good development for the Indian cricket team and Indian cricket fans, former India skipper and modern-day batting great Virat Kohli has reached the DICS in Dubai for practice ahead of the big game against Pakistan in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The veteran batter will be in action for India in the high-octane clash against the arch-rivals and the defending champions Pakistan.
However, Virat could score only 22 runs off 38 balls in the last game against Bangladesh. But his numbers against Pakistan in the major ICC tournaments are something that will give him the confidence to make a strong comeback.
The video of the moment when Virat Kohli reached the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai for practice, is also making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).

Notably, India will play Pakistan in the high-octane clash in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on February 23, at 2:30 PM (IST). It was the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 when India and Pakistan played each other last time in the prestigious cricket quadrennial. The Men in Green defeated Virat Kohli’s men by a massive 180-run margin to win their maiden title.
Now, the Men in Blue will be eyeing clearing off their books with Pakistan for the last defeat in the Champions Trophy 2017 final.
Indian team management is expected to field the same playing XI that played against Bangladesh, considering a perfect and winning combination. On his debut in the Champions Trophy, young pacer Harshit Rana bowled a brilliant spell and scalped 3 wickets at just 31 runs in his 7.4 overs. He might continue to make it to the playing XI of India for their next game against Pakistan.
India’s Predicted Playing XI for the game against Pakistan:
Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Harshit Rana, Mohammed Shami, and Kuldeep Yadav.
