Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are looking completely dominant against CSK in the ongoing 25th game of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025). The defending champions bowled brilliantly in the first innings and restricted the hosts to a score of just 103 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the entire 20 overs.

Meanwhile, the star KKR spinner Varun Chakravarthy also caught the attention for his amazing athleticism in the first innings. He took a sensational running catch to dismiss CSK’s lower-order batter Noor Ahmad off Vaibhav Arora’s delivery in the 18th over of the first innings.

The moment came when Noor tried an across-the-line lofted and happened to loft it towards the short fine leg region where Varun Chakravarthy reached after brilliantly covering a good ground and executed an amazing catch.

Speaking of the current action of the game, the visiting skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and asked CSK to bat first. Batting first, the hosts could post only 103 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the entire 20 overs. It was only Shivam Dube who scored the crucial 31 runs off 29 balls, followed by Vijay Shankar’s 29 runs off 21 balls.

Star spinner Sunil Narine scalped 3 wickets at just 13 runs in his 4 overs for KKR in the first innings, alongside two wickets each, bagged by Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy at just 16 and 22 runs in their respective 4 overs. Besides these three, Moeen Ali and Vaibhav Arora also picked a wicket each.

While chasing the target, KKR had scored 72 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in just 6.2 overs in the second innings at the time of filling this. Sunil Narine and skipper Ajinkya Rahane were there in the middle with individual scores of 31 and 15 runs, respectively.
