January 7 marks the day when India defeated Australia by 2-1 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2018-19 series. In the 4-match Test series, India won the first and the third game under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. After scripting a historic series win against the mighty Australians, Indian cricketers danced their hearts out at the SCG, making the moment even more special.
Not only at the ground, but the Indian team also shook their legs at the hotel, where the proper arrangements for their welcome were already made. After returning from the stadium, Kohli, Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, and many more players were seen dancing to the beats of the musicians. Watching the players forget the world and dance was heartwarming.

The last game of the series was quite crucial since it was in Sydney and Australia always had an upper edge at that particular venue. However, much to everyone's surprise, the last game ended in a draw, helping India clinch the series. Cheteshwar Pujara's nerve-wreaking 193 runs off 373 balls and Rishabh Pant's 159 runs in 189 balls were the main reason behind India scoring 622 runs in the first innings.

Australia's batting failure led to follow-on in first innings
Although Usman Khawaja and Marcus Harris gave a brilliant start to the Australian innings, a lack of support from the middle-order batters led to their failure. Australia could only score 300 runs in the first innings and failed to avoid the follow-on. They had to bat again, but there was no game on the fifth day because of persistent rain. In the first innings, Harris scored 77 runs, the highest run for Australia.
On India's side, Kuldeep Yadav was Australia's nightmare as he claimed a fifer. He got proper support from the other bowlers, as Shami and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each, while Bumrah got one. Under Kohli, the young Indian team was strong and confident, winning games.
