Maharashtra batter Kiran Navgire amazed everyone with her sensational knock in the just-concluded game against Railways Women in the Quarter-Final of the ongoing Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy. Navgire came to bat for Maharashtra after skipper Anuja Patil fell prey to Preeti Bose at the individual score of 50 runs.

Navgire smashed a fiery and blistering knock of 64 runs off just 25 balls, hitting one four and eight sixes. She scored these runs with a swashbuckling strike rate of 256.00. The 30-year-old also ended up as the leading run-scorer for his side in the first innings.

Navgire was bought by UP Warriorz for an amount of INR 30 Lakhs during the WPL 2025 Auction. She will be in action for the franchise in the upcoming third edition of the tournament. 

Speaking of the action of the match, Maharashtra posted a total of 254 runs, getting all-out in 48.4 overs. Alongside Kiran Navgire’s 25-ball 64 runs, Mukta Magra and skipper, Anuja Patil also scored 54 and 50 runs, respectively. Railways’ Simran Bahadur claimed an amazing five-wicket haul, scalping 5 wickets in 8.4 overs, including a maiden over.

Besides Simran, Preeti Bose and Poonam Soni also bagged two wickets each, alongside a wicket picked by skipper Sneh Rana.

While chasing the target, Mona Meshra scored 74 runs, hitting 6 fours; following her, Simran Bahadur continued to show her excellence, this time with the bat and scored a crucial 51 runs. Eventually, Railways chased down the target in 49.4 overs and won the game by 3 wickets, scoring 256 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

WPL
