Indian T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav brought back childhood memories as he was trying to find the ball when it got lost. The incident occurred in the third ball of the ninth over when Dhruv Jurel hit Karn Sharma over the covers for a six. The ball went straight into the enclosure past the boundary, which had a plethora of photographers. The play was held up as Yadav and two other MI players were frantically searching for the ball.

There was a slight halt in play as Yadav was seen looking for the ball before finally making his way back on the park. The photographers then began looking for the ball as play resumed after a slight halt. Karn Sharma took the perfect revenge when he had Jurel caught and bowled for 11 runs on the final ball of the same over.

Rajasthan Royals’ journey ends with huge defeat

It was a day to forget for RR players and their fans as they lost by a massive 100 runs to Mumbai Indians. The win also ended RR’s two-match winning streak against MI. With this win, the Mumbai Indians also ended their long wait for a win at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The last time     MI won at this venue was during the 2012 season of the IPL.

Karn Sharma was the best bowler with figures of 3/23 from his four overs, while Trent Boult picked 3/28, which included the final wicket of the game. For the home team, Jofra Archer led the batting charts with his knock of 30 in what was a forgettable day in the park.

Speaking after the game to the host broadcasters, Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag gave credit to the MI bowlers. The 23-year-old said that any total between 190 and 200 would have been perfect to chase. MI skipper Hardik Pandya praised his side for being clinical with the bat and later with the ball as they now are just one step away from the playoffs.
