Former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar has shot off angry message to a website named Cricket Ception. The 75-year-old has warned the website off legal action if an article titled A New Era in Leadership: Bumrah’s Captaincy and Kohli’s Leadership Revive Team India’ which has been filed under his name isn’t removed.

The article has over 2000 views but what caught the eye of the fans is the blatant use of former India skipper’s name. The former India star said, “Hi this is Sunil Gavaskar and I want to say there is a website ‘Cricket Ception’ which has printed an article under my name and I have to say that is completely fake and I have not contributed that article at all."

Gavaskar went onto say, “And I want to tell that website to take it down immediately and issue an apology if you don’t do it immediately I will send it to my legal team and don’t believe a word of what you have read this is a completely fake article being attributed to me.”

Kapil Dev asks fans to get over non-inclusion of Cheteshwar Pujara

Former India skipper Kapil Dev sat down for a chat with Mid-Day where he was asked about Pujara’s non-inclusion. Kapil Dev said, “Whatever the best team you have, you are making them play, and that’s it. One can then ask whether India needs players like Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar. Why not Don Bradman for Australia? Why talk about the people who are not in the team?"

India’s former skipper also gave huge piece of advice to Bumrah and said, “He should stay as normal as possible and not look to do something extra. He should go with the flow, and over some time, he will learn. It's unfair to say, 'What more can he do?' I don't expect anything beyond what he encounters. Let the contest begin, and he will find his way. We must not burden him with expectations."

The former India great also said, “If I look at India's strong point over the years, it would be the increase in their self-belief. Sometimes, you look over-confident, but the belief in the Indian team has improved. It is a critical component for any team looking to excel on the big stage."
