While running her second run on the first ball of the 24th over in the first innings, Mandhana became the first Asian batter to reach the milestone of 10 centuries in the Women’s ODIs. Mandhana also leads the India Women in the ongoing ODI series against Ireland Women without regular skipper and star all-rounder, Harmanpreet Kaur.

The moment when the Southpaw reached the historic milestone was also a proud moment for Indian Women’s cricket. The video of this heartfelt moment is also making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Here’s the video of when Smriti Mandhana scored the record-breaking century:

Speaking of the ongoing third action between India Women and Irish Women, the hosts’ skipper Mandhana won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, the star in-form opening pair of Pratika Rawal and Smriti Mandhana provided a historic first-wicket stand for India.

The duo stitched an outstanding opening partnership of 233 runs for the first wicket before Mandhana was dismissed off Orla Prendergast’s delivery on the fourth ball of the 27th over.

In addition to skipper Mandhana, young India opener and in-form opener Pratika Rawal also amazed everyone with his brilliant century. Rawal scored 154 runs off 129 balls, hitting 20 fours and a six.

Following the opening heroics, the number three batter and wicketkeeper, Richa Ghosh also scored a crucial half-century, scoring 59 runs off 42 balls, hitting 10 fours and a six.

At the time of filling this, India Women had scored 415 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 47.1 overs, having Tejal Hesabnis and Jemimah Rodrigues there in the middle.

Women in blue are already leading the three-match ODI series by 2-0 and they are eyeing a clean sweep victory with a win in this game.
